Glitter fixes everything no? Whether used in crafts, makeup, fashion it’s silly and fun and uplifting and always makes me smile. So I was very intrigued to hear about a new crafty subscription box dedicated to glitter worshipers – The Glittery Hands Box. This very cute idea ships out a monthly themed box to it’s subscribers full of crafty bits and pieces to inspire. Rather than giving you a specific project the box provides you with crafty tools and supplies for you to use in any way you dream up – from patterned papers, to sequins, to stickers, and reusable items like stamps and ink pads. The themes are cute and playful – from mermaids, to pineapples to the 90s (I am very excited about that box FYI).
A real bonus about this box is that you really don’t have to be a crafter to enjoy it. every month there will be some fun tutorials up on the website that you could follow, but equally if you’re a stationery lover you could simply decorate your planners to your hearts content with the contents!
This months box was all about mermaids and contained: 2 illustrated patterned paper, a colouring in sheet, stickers and card shapes (perfect for card making), pretty pins, beautifully opulent sequins, iron on glitter letters, an ink pad, acrylic paint and an awesome anchor stamp (great for tattoo style, nautical makes) plus a mermaid-esque hair comb.
The boxes cost £15 + postage if you’re subscribed which is great value for what you get, and they’re £18 for a one off box. Next month’s theme is Cosmic Adventure so expect lots of space themed goodies.
Now what shall I make?
I was gifted my glittery hands box for review. Words and opinions are my own and as alwasy if I didn’t love it I wouldn’t blog about it.
