DIY: Playing around with Block printing

My latest make for Minerva Crafts is up and it’s all about the block printing. I bought a load of beautiful wooden printing blocks from the Knitting and Stitching show after missing out (read forgetting) at the Handmade Fair. My blocks came from gorgeous treasure trove store Bazaar and also from Colouricious.

As my first attempt I went for good old fashioned neutral toned calico but couldn’t resist adding a pop of colour with a fuscia drawstring and stitching. I am just a little in love with my zebra printing block that I used for the smaller bag and I think I’m going to have to make an Andy Warhol pop art style print for the wall with it at some point.
