My crafty Christmas wish list

Santa baby I’m not too fussed about cars or rings.. or even yachts but there are some crafty bits and pieces that I would love to find under my tree this Christmas!  More and more I try to ask for quite specific things for christmas and birthdays. Don’t get me wrong I love surprises and creative presents and I know it can be much more fun to dream up the perfect gift for someone than just work through a list… but to be honest I already have way too much ‘stuff’ so streamlining even a little bit of the process to gift things I will love and use and cherish makes sense no?

These are my crafty Christmas wish list items:

A Ring Mandrel. I adored making rings at my London Jewellery School course but accuracy is pretty key if I want to carry on my making… so a mandrel to allow me to measure ring size precisely is a necessity!

Interchangeable circular knitting needles.  This idea actually came from the #craftblogclub twitter chat. I don’t own any circular needles (yet!) and I think it’s a bit of a waste just to buy a random size which I may not use very much. But these bad boys have interchangeable tips so you can adjust for each new project! Genius!

A subsciption to my favourite crafty magazines. What better gift is there than pure inspiration locked up in a beautifully designed magazine. My long standing favourite is Mollie Makes but there are tons of amazing crafty magazines out there and lots will do subscription deals in the run up to Christmas – click the links below to explore.

Multipom Maker. I spotted these at the Knitting and stitching show and they look awesome.  They make a ton of pompoms in one go with minimum stress. Perfect for crafty embellishments all year long, or for making awesome pompom projects like this wall hanging, or this wreath.

A free embroidery machine foot.  Ok this is a classic example of something I need to buy and keep forgetting to buy… so maybe santa can help me out? I’ve been desperate to try freehand machine embroidery for over a year now. Time to get my shit together.  PS my machine is an Elna Explore 240 Santa…

What’s on your Christmas list?
