Crafternoon How-To: Pompom Ring

Santa baby,

forgot to mention one little thing,

a ring…

A super quick and super easy tutorial – great for girly stocking fillers!

You will need:

12 days of craftness pompom ring

  • Card templates (see my pompom tutorial)
  • Thread/wool
  • Ring base – mine is adjustable and bought in a pack of 20 from ebay
  • Scissors
  • Glue/Glue gun

Step One: Make your Pompom

Using your card templates and wool/thread, make your pompom!  Wrap your thread round and round your two card templates (I wrapped a few layers of silver and then wrapped a few layers of blue wool on top so I would end up with a target style pompom but experiment with layering or sectioning off colours and see what you can do!).  Then cut through the thread around the outside of your templates, tie and secure – more in depth tutorial on pompom making can be found here

Step Two: Secure to your ring base

Yup you’re already almost finished.  Using a really good craft glue or (preferably) a glue gun secure your pompom to your ring base.  Wait for the glue to dry…. and you’re done!
